**** I did like Azealia Banks but her bad attitude and negative image have really worked to her detriment - it made casual fans like me turn away somewhat. Don't get me wrong, the music is still interesting, but I just don't WANT to like her, which sucks really. Saying that, this is better than many of the female rap albums I've heard, possibly the best that I've heard from a female rapper, and the production is easily the best thing here. Also, Azealia can certainly rap, and I'm surprised that she can sing well too. There are some funky efforts on here and some good deep beats that would be awesome to hear in a club. But I doubt it will happen, and I think with all the negativity around her, she will struggle to gain any success. Maybe... 4.1/6. |
